Cory Annis, MD

Founder & Owner
In 2015, Dr. Annis opened Unorthodoc in Carrboro, NC, after practicing medicine in the traditional insurance-based model for many years. She saw the barriers to care health insurance created and knew there had to be a better way. Her vision for Unorthodoc has always been a practice that operates without the constraints of insurance in order to give her patients what they deserve: affordable, relationship-driven primary health care.
Amy Jane Nayo, MD
Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Nayo joined Unorthodoc in 2020. Prior to Unorthodoc, Dr Nayo had been practicing full spectrum family medicine in a rural community in North Carolina. Dr. Nayo believes that physicians and patients, not administrators and insurance companies, should be making health care decisions.
